Darkest Dungeon II

Some time after the temporary defeat of the Heart of Darkness, a scientist known as the Scholar begins experimenting with an eldritch force called the Iron Crown. The experiments spiral out of control, unleashing a catastrophic realignment of the planet that plunges most of humanity into madness and tears open the way for eldritch beings to invade the physical world. Worse still, the Scholar finds himself trapped in an endless cycle of repeating events. His mentor, the Academic, appears bearing the flame of Hope and tells him that the only way to undo the ruin he has wrought is to carry that Hope to the distant Mountain where the Iron Crown lies, and to finally confront his own guilt. Gathering a band of broken but determined survivors, the Scholar sets out on a perilous journey across a world consumed by horror, seeking redemption at the source of the evil.
